High River 2013<\/p>\n
In June 2013, the Highwood River crested its banks flooding the town of High River. Displacing upwards of 12,000 people. Burnaby USAR responded by sending a team to assist locals with clean up and recovery efforts.<\/p>\n
Our team responded with tools for demolition and cooking appliances to help feed the displaced residents.<\/p>\n
We assisted many people with striping the water soaked furnishings and drywall from their damaged homes. As well as recovering treasured mementos.<\/p>\n
